Welcome

Gaynor Goodman

Welcome to Churchmead Church of England School, a Specialist Arts College thank you for considering our school.  I am very proud of our students and all that they achieve. Whilst these pages will provide you with information about our school, I really hope that you will be encouraged to visit us, to fully appreciate all that is on offer for your son/daughter. As a comparatively small Church of England secondary school (approximately 600) we can rightly claim that every student is known as an individual. We are a family with family values. As a result we can ensure that your child has the best opportunities to learn and succeed. Our aim is to develop the whole person and consequently student personal and social development based on Christian values i.e. mutual respect, where all are valued is extremely important to us. We are committed to achieving the highest academic standards to ensure that all our students have the necessary skills to compete in the 21st century. Our goal is to ensure our students have a love for learning and a realisation that Learning is for Life, "Every Learner Matters" at Churchmead.

Please read on, but more importantly, please visit us. I maintain that the best ambassadors of any school are the students themselves. They will be happy to act as your tour guide and give you an insight into what makes Churchmead such a special place. I look forward to meeting you.
