Churchmead is a mixed 11-18 Church of England School welcoming students of all faiths. We offer a secure environment on a twenty two acre Thames-side site in which life long learning is encouraged. The school serves the villages of Datchet, Horton, Wraysbury, Langley and the surrounding areas in Slough. Churchmead encourages close cooperation and liaison between home, the community and school our aim is 'Achievement through Partnership'.
As a school we help students to understand the world in which they live and to respect the religions, moral values, opinions and ways of life of others. We aim to provide equal opportunities for all students. They are genuinely encouraged and supported to enable them to compete on equal terms and in no way disadvantaged.
The curriculum we offer combines a sound academic tradition with progressive curricular development matching the needs of both students and the society in which we live. (see Curriculum for further detail).
Our supportive pastoral system means that caring professionals work with your children to ensure they achieve and take advantage of the broad, balanced and enriching curriculum we offer. Each student has a Tutor who is directly responsible for ensuring that the best possible advice and guidance is available as well as monitoring progress and achievement.
